Breeding RUles
Fees
- Free for internet requests. See below for submittal form.
- Include a "Date of Service" for added realism. This date will be recorded 11 months prior to the foal's birth year and will be determined using a
gestation table and the date your request was received. - Include up to a five generation pedigree -- extended pedigrees upon request.
- Certificates sent as MS Word or PDF document attachments.
- Stallions are allowed an unlimited number of foals per year. Note studbook openings.
- Mares are allowed one foal per year. However, some mares may be allowed one set of twins upon pre-approval. Note open years and provide an alternate in the event your first choice has been taken. Otherwise, I will pick the closest open year to your request.
- Aging and non-aging foals are accepted. Please make adjustments for your non-aging foals out of our mares. For example: a request for a 10 year old non-aging foal made in 2016 would make that foal "born" in 2006. The chosen mare would need to be open for 2006. A six year old non-aging foal would be "born" in 2010...and so on. Of course, a one year old or younger foal would be born this year.
- No inbreeding please. Carefully selected line breeding is allowed.
- Follow color genetics and breed standards (collector colors are the exception - use your best judgment , i.e. woodgrain could be chestnut).
- The foal must be a model or figurine. No sims or BSO. You will see Breyer, Stone, Schleich, Safari, CollectA, various ceramic, resins and other kinds of horses in my list. I am interested in trading pictures of the foals for one of their sires' or dams'. Photos may be used in my breeding records and certificates, website, and/or breeding classes.
- Name of sire and or dam requested.
- Foal's name, age/year, color/markings, breed, gender, make/mold, and owner/stable name.
- If the other parent is not owned by HCR please provide its name, age/year, color/markings, breed, make/mold , owner and pedigree.
